We go where mainstream media won’t look—exposing hidden public surveillance networks, municipal failures, street-level policy, and the raw reality of local crises as they unfold in real time. We believe accountable leadership begins with documented ground truth, not sanitized press releases.

At the heart of our newsroom is the Gabriel Pursel Initiative, founded in honor of Gabriel Michael Pursel. Gabriel was a 28-year-old who moved to Los Angeles in search of a better life when he was 19, but ultimately fell in and out of homelessness and died in an alley due to systemic neglect and bureaucratic indifference.

Through this dedicated initiative, our investigative team conducts ongoing, on-the-scene reporting to document the true impact of street displacement, track the fentanyl epidemic, and give a voice to the real human costs buried beneath city PR.
